Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of CALRI’s mobile applications, website, recipes, calculators, meal planner, AI food recognition features, subscriptions, support tools, and related services collectively called the “Services.” By using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Services.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your location, to use CALRI. If you use CALRI on behalf of another person or organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms for them.
Health and Nutrition Disclaimer
CALRI provides calorie tracking, nutrition estimates, meal planning, recipe information, calculators, AI food recognition, and wellness insights for informational and educational purposes only. CALRI is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or professional healthcare recommendations.
Nutrition values, calorie estimates, macro breakdowns, calculator outputs, and AI food recognition results may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your circumstances. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making medical, dietary, pregnancy, fitness, or weight-management decisions, especially if you have a medical condition, eating disorder history, allergies, pregnancy, or special dietary needs.
Accounts and Security
You may need an account to use some features. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your login credentials secure, and notify us of unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account unless caused by our failure to use reasonable security measures.
Subscriptions, Purchases, and Refunds
CALRI may offer free features, paid features, subscriptions, trials, or one-time purchases. Pricing, renewal terms, cancellation options, and refund handling may be managed by the App Store, Google Play, or another payment provider. When you purchase through Apple or Google, their billing terms, cancellation process, and refund rules apply.
- Subscriptions may renew automatically unless canceled before the renewal date through the relevant app store or payment provider.
- Deleting the app may not cancel an active subscription. You must cancel through the applicable store or account settings.
- Refund requests for App Store or Google Play purchases should generally be submitted through the store where you purchased.
- CALRI may change pricing or features with notice where required by law or platform rules.
User Content and Meal Data
You may upload or enter meal photos, food logs, recipes, ingredients, goals, notes, support messages, and other content (“User Content”). You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant CALRI a limited license to host, process, display, analyze, and use User Content as needed to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the Services.
You represent that you have the rights needed to upload your User Content and that your content does not violate laws, third-party rights, or these Terms.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Services for unlawful, harmful, misleading, abusive, or fraudulent activity.
- Upload content that infringes intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, overload, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Services.
- Use CALRI outputs as a substitute for medical care or emergency services.
- Misrepresent AI-generated, estimated, or calculated results as verified medical or clinical facts.
- Share another person’s personal information without permission.
AI Features and Accuracy
CALRI may use AI, automation, image recognition, and third-party models to estimate foods, portions, calories, macros, and nutrition insights. AI output can be wrong. You are responsible for reviewing, correcting, and deciding whether to rely on any output. CALRI does not guarantee that AI features will identify every food, ingredient, allergen, serving size, or nutrition value correctly.
Intellectual Property
CALRI, including its design, software, trademarks, logos, text, graphics, recipes, calculators, interfaces, and other content, is owned by CALRI or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of CALRI intellectual property to you. You may use the Services only as permitted by these Terms.
Third-Party Services
The Services may integrate with or link to third-party services such as app stores, payment providers, analytics tools, cloud providers, AI providers, nutrition databases, and external websites. CALRI is not responsible for third-party services, and your use of them may be governed by their terms and policies.
Service Changes and Availability
We may update, suspend, remove, or modify features at any time. We do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available in every location or on every device. We may also impose usage limits or restrict access if needed for security, compliance, or operational reasons.
Termination
You may stop using CALRI at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk, misused the Services, or if we discontinue a feature or service. Some provisions, including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute terms, survive termination.
Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” CALRI disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, and uninterrupted operation. CALRI does not warrant that nutrition data, AI outputs, recipes, calculators, or recommendations will be accurate, complete, safe for your diet, or suitable for your goals.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CALRI and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, personal injury, or health outcomes arising from or related to your use of the Services. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the Services in the twelve months before the claim, or the minimum amount allowed by law.
Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold CALRI harmless from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your misuse of the Services, violation of these Terms, violation of law, or infringement of third-party rights.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Material changes may be communicated through the app, website, or email where appropriate. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
