Ingredients

  • 120 g Almonds
  • 100 g Walnuts
  • 120 g Cashews
  • 100 g Pecans
  • 60 g Dried cranberries
  • 60 g Raisins
  • 10 piece(s) Dried orange peel or candied orange peel (diced)
  • 30 tbsp Olive oil or coconut oil
  • 45 g Maple syrup or honey
  • 2.6 tsp Ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Ground ginger
  • 0.5 tsp Ground cloves
  • 0.5 tsp Ground nutmeg
  • 3 tsp Sea salt
  • 1 tsp Rosemary
  • 3 tbsp Star anise
  • 2 tsp Cinnamon sticks

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to a low heat and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine olive oil (or coconut oil), maple syrup (or honey), ground cinnamon, ground ginger, ground cloves, ground nutmeg, and sea salt, and stir until well mixed.
  3. Add almonds, walnuts, cashews, and pecans, and toss well until evenly coated.
  4. Spread in an even layer on the baking sheet and bake until lightly browned and fragrant, stirring occasionally.
  5. Remove from the oven and, while still warm, add dried cranberries, raisins, and dried orange peel (optional: rosemary), then mix well.
  6. Spread out to cool until completely crisp, then store airtight or eat; add whole star anise and cinnamon sticks.
